Learn to Ride
I did not learn to ride a bike until I was 12. My best friend taught me in her cul-de-sac because I was tired of walking everywhere while my friends biked.
MS 150
I rode in the MS 150 in honor of my dad who passed away from Multiple Sclerosis in 2003. It is a two-day 150-mile bike ride to raise money to cure Multiple Sclerosis. I raised $x,xxx and rode with the Richardson Bike Mart Team – the team my dad rode with. The Dallas Morning News published an article on my journey.
deCycles
I rode from Los Angeles, California to Bloomington, Indiana in 25 days with a group from my college town. The program, which is a nonprofit youth leadership program, dates back to 1968 with over 1800 riders pedaling five million rider miles. I was amazed hooked.
Little 500
I raced in the Little 500 – the largest collegiate bike race in the United States. The movie breaking away documents this race. I served as captain of my team for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. We earned 6th place out of 33 in 2018 and 2019. The 2020 race was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Move to Alaska
Sick of my boring desk job I took a job as a sea kayaking guide in Seward, Alaska. Best decision ever.
